Ken has more than 35 years’ experience in providing Independent financial planning advice, during which time he has gained a wealth of experience along with many grey hairs. He is now advising a third generation of the family for some of his longest standing clients. As a public speaker he has addressed many pre-retirement courses for some of the largest institutions in the UK. He has served a term on the editorial board of a solicitor magazine specialising on the elderly client. He is regularly invited by a major UK financial institution to attend a forum where his views on the industry are sought. His considerable experience means he is able to advise on all areas of financial planning covering Inheritance tax planning, Enterprise Investment Schemes. (EIS) Venture Capital Trusts (VCT) and maximising pension freedom through using pensions for commercial property purchase. His clients include High Court and local Judges, Lawyers QC, accountants and may other professionals who value his expertise. Paul is a financial planner specialising in helping business owners, professionals and retired investors, with particular expertise in the areas of pensions and divorce. He also provides specialist pension consultancy services to solicitors, accountants and other financial planners. He is a Chartered Financial Planner, holds the Certified Financial PlannerTM qualification and is a CFP Chartered Member of the CISI, the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Paul is also a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute, making him one of few in the country to hold both of the top financial planning and pensions qualifications. Paul has contributed to BBC local radio and the national press on pensions and financial planning issues, including articles for the Financial Times. He previously worked with the Institute of Financial Planning as an assessor for the Certified Financial PlannerTM qualification.
Grant joined Hart Greaves in 2015. He graduated from University with a degree in Economics and had always set his sights on a career in the world of finance. Grant is a Chartered Financial Planner, he is advising clients as an Independent Financial Adviser. Although , the youngest in our team of advisers he is rapidly gaining respect from clients and colleagues alike. He also carries out investment research in preparation for our regular investment reviews.
Paraplanner, Chartered Financial Planner
Emma has been with the company since its formation and became a Partner in 2018. Emma is a Chartered Financial Planner with a high level of technical knowledge which is invaluable to the practice at many levels. In addition she oversees paraplanning and compliance for all advisers. Emma has worked in the financial services industry for over ten years after graduating from University with a BA in History.
Sarah joined Hart Greaves in January 2019 as a Paraplanner. Sarah has over 14 years in the financial services sector and holds the Diploma in Financial Planning. Sarah provides technical support and analysis to the advisers.
Claire joined Hart Greaves in October 2019 as an Administrator. Claire is responsible for helping to deal with the general administration of the firm including tracking and keeping clients up to date as to how investments, pensions etc. are progressing from application stage through to completion. Claire also arranges meetings for the advisers. Claire has only recently begun work in the financial services industry but has a wealth of experience in a number of roles at varying levels.
